How does it work?

Every SpotiD tag has a universally recognised QR code. When someone scans it with any smartphone camera, they’re taken to your profile, showing the contact details and medical information you’ve chosen to share. The emergency contact receives a call, WhatsApp or text from the finder, or an alert with a link to the exact location. No app needed, no login required.

How accurate is it?

Your SpotiD profile is always up to date because you control it. Update your details as often as you need, new medication, new emergency contact, new address. The changes are live immediately. The same QR code always points to your latest profile.

How secure is it?

Completely under your control. You choose exactly which fields are visible on your public contact profile. You can update these settings at any time from your dashboard, and changes take effect instantly. We’re fully GDPR compliant and your data is never shared with or sold to third parties. For children, profiles are anonymised, we never share the child’s name.

Does it work without an internet connection?

SpotiD doesn’t need a connection itself, it’s a printed QR code. When someone scans it, their phone fetches your emergency profile. Our ultra-lightweight pages (around 2KB) are engineered to load even on the weakest 2G signal, so they work virtually anywhere.

What happens if my phone runs out of battery?

Anyone who scans your code just needs their own phone to instantly access your contact information. There is no limit on the number of contact numbers you can add to your profile, so make sure you have a backup in case your phone runs out of battery.

Can I update my profile

Yes, as many times as you like. Log into your dashboard, make your changes, and they’re live immediately. The same QR code always points to your latest profile details.

What happens if my SpotiD tag is damaged or lost?

If your SpotiD tag becomes damaged or is lost, you can simply order a replacement tag through your SpotiD account. Your existing information stays intact, making it quick and easy to activate the new tag.
