SpotiD is an emergency identification service operated by Think GTM Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15454099), with its registered office at Davidson House, The Forbury, Reading, RG1 3EU (UK) (“SpotiD”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
The service allows users to store emergency contact and medical information that can be accessed by a third party scanning a physical NFC tag or QR code linked to that user’s profile.
By creating a SpotiD account, downloading the SpotiD app, or using any part of the SpotiD service, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use SpotiD.
Where SpotiD is used by or on behalf of a minor (see Section 3), the parent or guardian who registers the account accepts these terms on the minor’s behalf and is responsible for their use of the service.
You must be at least 13 years old to create a SpotiD account. If you are between 13 and 17, you confirm that a parent or guardian has given their consent to your use of the service.
By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, that you are not prohibited from using the service under any applicable law, and that you have the authority to enter into a binding agreement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@spotid.co if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account.
You may only hold one personal SpotiD account. Accounts are non-transferable.
You are responsible for ensuring that the contact details and any medical information stored on your profile remain accurate and current. SpotiD cannot be held responsible for consequences arising from outdated or incorrect information on your profile.
SpotiD provides a platform that allows you to:
SpotiD is not an emergency service. It does not connect you to ambulance, police, or fire services. In an emergency, you or those around you should always contact the relevant emergency services directly by calling 999 (UK) or the applicable local emergency number.
SpotiD does not provide medical advice. Any medical information displayed via a SpotiD profile is user-submitted and is provided for informational purposes only to assist first responders or bystanders. It should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional medical assessment.
We aim to keep SpotiD available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, updates, or modifications to the service at any time. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime where possible.
Emergency profile pages are designed to be accessible without app login, but availability depends on internet connectivity. SpotiD cannot guarantee access in all environments, including areas with limited or no mobile data coverage.
By using SpotiD, you agree that you will:
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of any information you add to your SpotiD profile. SpotiD does not verify the accuracy of user-submitted data.
SpotiD may offer both a free tier and one or more paid subscription plans. The features available under each plan are as described on our website or within the app at the time of purchase.
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected). Payment is processed by our third-party payment provider. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that date. We do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at hello@spotid.co.uk within 14 days of the charge. We will review all refund requests in good faith.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will give you at least 30 days’ written notice of any price increase before it takes effect. Continued use of the service after the new pricing takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
If your subscription lapses or you downgrade to the free tier, your profile data is retained and your tag(s) will continue to function. Features specific to the paid plan will become unavailable. If you delete your account, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
All intellectual property rights in the SpotiD app, website, platform, and associated materials (including but not limited to the SpotiD name, logo, design, and software) are owned by or licensed to SpotiD. Nothing in these terms grants you any rights in that intellectual property other than the limited right to use the service as described here.
You retain ownership of any personal data and content you submit to your SpotiD profile. By submitting that content, you grant SpotiD a limited licence to store, process, and display it solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
SpotiD is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the service, including but not limited to:
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any warranty that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SpotiD shall not be liable for any:
Where we are liable to you under these terms, our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you to SpotiD in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £50.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SpotiD, its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, your profile and personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Any active paid subscription should be cancelled before deleting your account to avoid further charges.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have breached these terms, are misusing the service, or if continued access poses a risk to other users or to the integrity of the platform.
Where we terminate your account without cause, we will provide a pro-rata refund of any unused prepaid subscription period.
Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Any NFC tags or QR codes linked to your account will become inactive. Provisions of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will continue to apply.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident in another jurisdiction, you may also have the benefit of any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
We would always prefer to resolve any issue informally before legal proceedings are considered. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at hello@spotid.co.uk and we will do our best to resolve it promptly.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
Continued use of SpotiD after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must stop using the service before the effective date.
